Itinerary
Day 01: Arequipa – Colca
- In the morning you will begin your journey, an unforgettable tour to one of the deepest Canyons in the World «The Colca«. The Tour begins with the winding road that leaves the «White City» of Arequipa crossing the snow capped Misti, Chachani and the Ampato Volcanoes, to arrive at the Colca Canyon. Here you will find the famous and majestic eagle, the Andean Condor, where elegant Vicuñas wander the high plains, past the villages of Torja, Chucura, Patapampa, with its Colonial Churches and Inca Farming Terraces.
- In the afternoon, visit the village of Chivay or enjoy La Calera thermo-medicinal baths for those overnighting in the village of Chivay (Kolping and Casa Andina). If you are overnighting in the Colca Lodge which is outside Chivay, the lodge has its own Hot Springs.
- Transfer to hotel.

Day 02: Colca – Puno
- Breakfast and departure to the “Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint”, the most strategic area to see the flight of the Condors’. Latter you will visit the Colca Valley, the Tapay viewpoint, the pre-Inca tombs and stop in the villages of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque.
- Return and overnight in hotel.

Day 03: Colca – Puno
- Breakfast. Morning free and afternoon departure to Puno, passing by Lagunillas, where you will see typical flora of the area, wild birds, sheep, vicuña and llama, with the ever impressive Andean Mountains Range.
- Arrival to Puno at the end of the day.

Day 04: Colca – Puno
- Breakfast. Morning free and departure to Puno, passing by Lagunillas. You will see typical flora of the area, wild birds, sheep, vicuña and llama, with the ever impressive Andean Mountains Range. Arrival to Puno.

WHAT TO BRING IN THE EXCURSION
- As it is a trip at high altitudes the climate is usually cool to cold and the sun affects the skin stronger than normal, so we recommend to bring:
- Passport
- Warm clothing
- Insect repellent
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses
- Comfortable shoes (if possible hiking shoes)
- Refillable water bottle
- Raincoat
- Medication to avoid altitude sickness (in case you consider it necessary)
