Andean Baroque tour is made to show the best of the indigenous baroque art in three churches located in the southern part of Cusco; Andahuaylillas, Canincunca and Huaro where the best samples of the indigenous art are showed though paintings with European heritage but with elements from the local culture, nature and conjuncture in the XVI and XVII centuries.
The tour begins in the morning by heading towards the south of Cusco. Our first stop is Andahuaylillas colonial temple, considered as the Sixtine chapel of America thanks to the richness in mural art that it contains, that is allocated to the name of the apostle of Saint Peter. After the visit to Andahuaylillas we visit the churches of San Juan Bautista (Saint John the Baptist) in Huaro and Virgen Purificada (the Pure Virgen) in Canincunca, both situated in quaint indigenous villages surrounded by the low Andean nature and a great view of the snow-capped Ausangate (6372 m.a.s.l)
