South Valley tour, lets you enjoy beautiful landscapes of the Andean mountains; you get to see the magnificent hydraulic architecture of Tipon, pre-Incan constructions in Pikillaqta and beautiful artwork of the Cusco art school in the church of Andahuaylillas. It’s said that Tipon was a royal garden supervised by Wiracocha; it’s one of the best examples of agriculture terraces made by the Incas; these terraces are extended throughout the valley and are fed by water coming from the Apu (mountain) Pachatusan. You can also see a compound of churches, irrigation canals and aqueducts. This archaeological site is situated 24 kms south east of Cusco.
Returning we pass through the village of Saylla where typical food from Cusco can be found; delicious fried pork, oven baked piglet and a soup that has been eaten since the Incan days known as Chairo.
