ITINERARY – HUMANTAY LAGOON TOUR

• We depart really early from the city of Cusco, about 4:30 a.m, due to the long journey we have ahead of us and because we want to take advantage of the beautiful excursion (we pick you up at your hotel).
• We steer towards the village of Mollepata, situated in the lush valley of the Apurimac river. We make a stop to enjoy a well-deserved breakfast before we continue our journey towards Soraypampa (3900 masl).
• After a short break we begin our trek towards Humantay lagoon situated at 4200 masl (13779 feet), after a climb of a bit more than an hour we finally get to the Humantay lagoon.
• Finally we can appreciate this amazing place. When we reach the Humantay lagoon we can sit down on a rock and enjoy the turquoise lagoon and the total peace and quiet of the nature.
• Here we take the best photos of the amazing landscapes before we have a small snack and return back to Soraypampa village.
• Returning to the campsite we enjoy our lunch while looking at the beautiful panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks. After finishing lunch we begin our journey back to the city of Cusco where we will be dropped off in the heart of the city (close to the main square).
• During the journey we will see beautiful landscapes and valleys with native habitants from the area.
• We reach the city of Cusco around 6 p.m.
